Week 17 today!

Hooray, another week in!
Deona is feeling and looking great.
I never really bought into the whole "glowing" thing...however i can honestly say, Deona's glowing, and looking more beautiful each day.

What's happening with baby this week?
Baby is EVEN bigger than it was last week (suprised? :)not to mention getting cuter, and smarter every day! As youve come to expect, theres no shortage of growth and development this week: your fantastic little bean stalk has added yet another half inch to their overall height-- making them nearly half a foot long! Their little limbs have reached (or are within one week of) their relative proportions, and will continue to grow evenly with the rest of the body after this week. Reactive listening has begun for your baby, even though their ears are not yet structurally complete or fully functional. Meanwhile, different parts of their astonishingly complex brain are developing to process your little ones hearing and other senses, (you know, sight, smell, taste and touch). Mind boggling factoid of the week: if youre having going to have a little girl, her ovaries have already produced millions of primordial egg cells, which, within a few weeks, will develop into actual eggs!

Arlington Holiday Lights Parade

In celebration of Deona's fathers birthday, we (Don, Debbie, Deona, Dondi, Jordan, Roy and myself) all thought it would be lots of fun to attend this year's Holiday Lights Parade in downtown Arlington.

We were all entertained by lighted floats, antique cars, Elvis' on minibikes, marching groups, firetrucks, puppy dogs and horses. It was definately a treat to see the excitment on our nephew, Jordan's face.

After the parade, Deona and I picked up a few pizzas and headed over to the Jordan's for dinner and presents.

Definitely a fun night for all.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DON!

Work in progress

Well, we started working on the nursery this weekend.
nevermind how horrible i look. eek!
In keeping with the puppy dog theme, we decided to paint three walls a cream co
lor and the fourth wall asparagus/Scotland greens to match our artwork and bedding. Yes, it looks VERY green, but will look adorable, when it all comes together. Windows will have black-out roller shades (low light for sleeping baby), sheers, striped curtain panels that'll match crib skirt, AND black cornice board with white dog bones. Next weekend, Monica will start painting artwork on the walls; including "Best Friends are we, my Puppies and Me" inscription over the crib.
Cant wait until its complete.
Check back for updates/nursery progress.
