Work STILL in progress

Baby Everett is still cooking :) (28 weeks today, Hooray!) and the nursery is still a work in progress. We purchased a chest for all of Everett's onesies, as his closet is effervescing. :)

Deona and I went to "grammie's" house today, as she helped us make drape panels for windows. We changed our minds about special ordering the bedding from Polka Tots. Deona recently read an article (in a parenting magazine) that crib bumpers are to be avoided these days. Seems silly to have our bedding custom made if are only to buy the crib skirt; we've settled on a skirt that matches our nursery colors AND have saved quite a bit of money. We still need to purchase a crib sheet and mattress pad and make the ottoman slip cover.

Deona's belly is growing and it's especially tight these days. Everett has been moving a lot, more than usual. Deona continues to experience ligament pulling, Braxton Hicks contractions and she's recently experiencing leg cramping and numbness in her finger tips. Seems all dissipates after walking around for a bit.

Still lots to do, but feeling like we accomplished quite a bit this weekend.

Sad news today...

A sad day for the Jordan-Guajardo family. Our beloved cat, Cassie, was put down this evening. We will miss her and her smiles, very much.

The Cutest Baby Ever!!!

We had an appointment this morning at "Window in the Womb" to see our son, at 26 weeks. Grandma Debbie joined both Deona and I. Though the pictures were not as great as we had hoped, we were able to see his adorable face AND we were able to confirm Everett is definitely a baby boy. I will note the Ultrasound Tech said we had a cutie (as we've known all along :) )
We were anticipating a skinny guy, as babies are just developing fat from this point forward. You will notice Everett has chubby cheeks already, and Deona's cute nose. We cant wait for May 18th to get here!
p.s. did you notice the picture of Everett shows him sticking out his tongue? So cute!

25 Weeks!

Hello All,
Just an update, as it's been a couple of months since we've posted anything on our blog. Deona is feeling great and looks beautiful, as ever. I've been able to feel AND see Everett doing flip flops in her belly. He especially likes meal times. Deona is officially out of her "regular" clothes and is now wearing materinty clothes full time. I've convinced her to let me post a picture of her pregnant self in our photo album. :)
The nursery is coming together and Little E's closet is getting pretty full.
We will post our 26 week 3D/4D sonogram pics/video this weekend, as we have an appointment scheduled for Saturday. CAN'T WAIT!!
