Fabulous Friday with Ori & Birdie!

We spent today with godmothers, Ori and Birdie at Hawaiian Falls in Garland. The day was fabulous; Ori and Birdie even got us a cabana, WITH a cabana boy! :)

Our cabana (next to the wave pool). Thanks Birdie for the pic. :)

Ev and Mommy in the wave pool. Neither of us look very happy: Ev isnt happy because he doesnt care to be held down. I am not happy because i barely fit in the blasted intertoob.
Still not happy. Mama and Ev floating the lazy river, "Kona Kooler".
Kiddie area: Keiki Cove (NOW WE'RE HAPPY)
This massive interactive water rain-fortress with pulleys, rope ladders, water buckets, geysers, three 40-foot slides and a 1,000-gallon dumping bucket.
Ev about to go down the slide, solo:
Ev going through the tunnel; Ori looking on:
Back at the slide; this time Ori sending Ev off!
Weeeeeeee!
Birdie and Ev's turn down the super duper slide!

Ori getting caught under the 1000 gallon bucket! WOW!!!

Back at the slide..... (again):
Ev and Birdie under the falls at splashwater harbor:
Ev LOVED these raining mushrooms. He thoroughly enjoyed walking through and being under the mushrooms.
Here are a few pics of "Gypsy, Everett" chillin' in his wagon at Hawaiian Falls. Thanks Gramma & Grampa for buying Ev his wagon last weekend, it was super duper handy...not only did it provide Ev a nice shady spot at all times, but we were able to tote the ice chest and all our belongings!

We had an amazing time and look forward to another water excursion, SOON! Thank you Ori and Birdie for a fabulous time!

Everett's Word Bank & More!

Everett has made HUGE leaps on his words this month.
*balloon (sounds like boon)
dog (sounds like dug)
cookie
thank you (sounds like tha-thoo)
Mama
*pop
go
*duck
*truck (sounds like cuck)
*broom (sounds like boom)
banana (sounds like nana)
Princey, our dog (sounds like sissy)
kitty (sounds like key)
ball (bah)
Each one of these words (*) has special meaning to how he's learned them; in fact each of them could have it's own write up on the blog. Perhaps I'll post stories, soon.

Some recent photos of Everett:
Getting ready to leave for Austin. Everett is wearing his puppy backpack/harness for the very for the very first time (a babyshower gift, from aunt Olivia and uncle Al).

On our way (with Pooh bear)!

Father's Day celebration at uncle Fred and aunt Mary's house:
Eating corn-on-the-cob, with aunt Mary.

Having delicious fruit, with aunt Olivia.

Back at Gramma's house, watching for deer.
Notice Ev's bruise on his forehead and mosquito bites between the eyes, left upper lip and mouth. Poor baby. Everett loves his Gramma very much!
Playing in the ball basket, at Toys R Us in Selma.
An exciting time with our growing, baby boy!

for Sal and Trace

As requested, here are some more pics of Everetts hair (from this morning, so it hadnt been brushed). :) Though his haircut wasnt as short as we had expected, its a good transition from tons of curls to only a few. The curls that remain are in the higher layers.
He looks like a toddler now. :(

1st haircut

Aunt Dondi called to tell us that cousin Jordan and uncle Roy would be going to the barbershop today; if we wanted to take Everett it would be a good opportunity for him to see what all goes on at the barbershop. We were a little unsure how the trip would go, as Everett would miss his 10:00 nap time.

Cousin Jordan getting his hair cut. Very handsome. :) Ms. Donna not only cuts hair very well, but she is so much fun and the kids love her.
Everett and Mama watching Jordan get his hair cut. After watching Jordan get his hair cut, and watching how well Ms. Donna interracted with Jordan, we decided to give it a shot.
Here are a couple of pictures of Everett before:

ALL DONE! Everett was super and everyone in the shop thought so too.
With the prized lollypop! Before leaving, the shop owner brought out his camera to capture another one of their "1st haircut" photos for their barbershop blog.

A super day at the barbershop. Thanks Aunt Dondi for thinking of us, I'm sure we'll be back.
