Big, Pink Box!

The doorbell rang this afternoon...I had a feeling who was at the door:

A BIG, PINK BOX, full of Thirty-One products!!!  WooHoo HAPPY NEW CONSULTANT DAY TO ME!!!  Look who else was excited and ready to peak inside the box:

Pretty lil' Everett

When Everett finds hairbands in the house he asks that we put his hair up; then runs to the mirror to laugh at himself. 

In the past we've been told Everett could easily be mistaken for a girl because he's so pretty.  

Even with these sad little pigtails, I see it.   Pretty lil' Everett.  :-)

Even though his shirt is inside out and his shorts are a bit off, I think he did a fine job dressing himself. <3

FINALLY a day at the waterpark

So consumed with moving, unpacking, contractors and installations very little time has been spent enjoying our summer break.  It sure was nice finally getting to spend an afternoon at the waterpark with our boys.

Everett's Room

Roomy and bright YET still not decorated.  We've done really well getting everything unpacked; now starts the fun stuff.  What's first in Everett's room?  Making/upholstering a couple of headboards and new bedding.  As you can see Ev really likes his new room....plenty of space for his tracks.

Our New Piano

Long story short, we decided to get a piano that the Hayhursts were giving away.  Hooray!  Thanks Dondi and Roy and thanks Grammy for paying to have it delivered!!  We are really excited as Everett has demonstrated great interest in music lately; especially beating his drumsticks, playing the guitar, djembe and keyboard.  You should have seen his face light up when he realized we had a real piano in the house.  

At Home

Both boys have had mild colds this week so we've been confined at home for a couple of days.  Today we filled up the baby pool for a little water fun. 

On Sunday Emory turned 15 months old; today he measured 32 inches tall.

and Everett is 3 years and 2 months today and measured 40.25 inches tall.

OH and finally, I'd like to introduce you to our new neighbor: 

I've seen him alot lately and recognize him because he is missing the tip of his tail. Isn't he cute? ;-)

Swim Lessons 2011

Everett had a successful 2 weeks of swimming with Ms. Ruhde.  Some of the skills he learned included kicking, digging, swimming with big arms,  swimming with his face in the water, climbing out of he pool, and getting dropped in the pool and swimming to the side. 

Today (his last day) included going down the big slide.   

Everett loves to swim and had a blast these two weeks.

We're Back!

I'm happy to report, we have internet again.  FINALLY. We have so much to share, but it will take some time to catch up.  In the meantime, enjoy these two short videos of Everett swimming during our visit to Aunt Tammy & Uncle Dodo's over the July 4th weekend.  He's gotten pretty good at swimming, diving for rings and flipping off our shoulders.  We're very proud of his progress.
