Seeding Galveston - Our Community Garden

We happened upon a community garden while visiting the Farmers Market back in July.  Thanks Grammy for the early Christmas present, we think this is the perfect gift for our family. :)

Our 4' x 8' garden needed a bit of TLC

The boys loved feeding (pomegranate seeds) to the chickens.
This billy goat gruff really wanted to headbutt someone. :)
Mama and Emory planted onions
while Everett & Mommy planted red tip lettuce.
Grammy and the boys take a look at the newly planted garden;
complete with broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, onions and green beans.

We are proud of our new garden.
We hope our efforts produce enough to eat and share.

If they plant it, and they grow it, they will eat it.

When you live at the beach...

...you surf

...you get to see your cousins more often than you did when you lived in the same town

you're encouraged to kick back and relax

When you live at the beach...

you get to catch (then release) hermit crabs, because it's awesome.

When you live at the beach...
picking your nose and being silly is totally acceptable

and then you laugh and are happy.

You should move to the beach...

Sunrise Sunset

Loving my view every single day.
These photos were taken with my iPhone; I used no filters and made no edits.

May every sunrise bring you hope.
May every sunset bring you peace.
Seawall Blvd is our route to school each morning.

Sunset from our front porch

Sunset after the storm, earlier this week.

“Twenty years from now you will be more
disappointed by the things that you didn't do
than by the ones you did do.So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.”

White Belts

We enrolled the boys in Martial Arts the 1st week of school; they are really enjoying their class and have been working hard (twice a week) to earn their first belt.

Both earned their "white" belts tonight!!.

Awww man, Everett's REALLY been looking forward to this day....
 I LOVE Ev's excitement... <3
