Merry "Incredible Pizza" Christmas

Christmas festivities continued with the Jordan-Kimsey family gathering on Friday, Dec. 19th. We decided to change things up a bit this year and instead of the traditional video exchange, we headed to Incredible Pizza Company. Everyone enjoyed the buffet style food along with games and visiting. Everett received a ton of gifts; he even enjoyed the wrapping and tissue paper. Thanks to everyone for a great time and for your thoughtulness.

Everett and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Well, the morning started out rather rough for Ev; first, he fell off our bed. My recent post mentioned that Ev comes to bed with us, when he wakes up at 5:30 a.m. He falls asleep shortly after feeding. Deona stacks Ev's side with pillows and blankets, before she leaves for work, because he is quite mobile these days. I was awakened to a crying baby, on the floor. :( My heart broke. Even with stacked pillows and blankets that served as a barrier, it didn’t stop Ev from falling off. Fortunately our floor is carpeted and our bed isn’t high. Ev cried for a short while, and was ready to watch Elmo's World on Sesame Street.

Later, Ev decided he wanted to get a book out of his book basket. As he crawled closer to the basket, he bumped his head on the basket corner. Think we're going to have a bruise. Poor baby! It's evident that Everett requires my undivided attention every second he's awake now; it has most definitely been a wake up call for me.
We're on our way to the bookstore to buy him a book.

4 more sleeps

When my oldest nephew, Chris was a toddler, he didnt understand the concept of time. Trying to convey how much longer before going to Disneyland or getting on the plane, became the "number of sleeps" beforehand.
So, in keeping with Christopher's concept of time, we have only 4 more sleeps (exactly the number of fingers on Mickeys hand), before our Christmas family vacation to Disneyworld!

Problem solver.

Everett has been waking up around 5:30 each morning. After he's fed and changed, he gets to sleep in our bed for a couple of hours, before it's time to wake up.
This morning, Everett was ready to play and be up; I was not. In all his attempts to wake me up, he found that tugging my hair was not only a fun game, but quite effective. I couldn't help but roll over and smile at his gummy grin. Looks like our growing boy is a problem solver.
