So Blurry but So cute!

Strong, strong baby boy. Not even 6 weeks old and Emory is sitting up in his Bumbo chair. Obviously happy about the whole experience. :)
(For our records: Emory sat up in his Bumbo at 4 weeks/6 days old.)

Bad Habits

Everett has developed a couple of bad habits.

Nice, trim nails? A couple of months ago, I realized I was only needing to trim Ev's toe nails. :o/ Recently however, I found him with toe in mouth. OH goodness.

We've also discovered if you leave Everett unsupervised for just 1 minute, you just might find him dressed like this:

I guess I wouldn't mind it so much if he didnt have accidents on the floor AND if he didnt feel the need to stand in front of our windows. In the meanwhile he now goes to bed in long, footy pajamas to keep him from pulling off his diaper. I'd love hearing from moms (and dads) who have experience helping their child(ren) overcome such habits. :)

Ev's Zoo-perific Birthday!

We had a WONDERFUL time celebrating Everett's 2nd birthday with our family and bonus family at the zoo today. Thanks to everyone who came out to share this special day with us.

Party Theme: zoo animals, of course
Colors: lime green, black, white & animal prints
Food: Hot dogs, chips, bananas, animal crackers, peanuts and birthday cake
Guests: Don, Debbie, Dondi, Roy, Jordan, Matthew, Ori, Jenifer, Kelly, Sharon, aunt Jackie, Courtney, Katy, Rebecca, and Kaitlyn.

Okay, i know you're jealous about my comb-over and lime green hibiscus hair pin. :) So the weather was HUMID and there was absolutely no reason to fight my bad hair day. Even so, I welcomed the humidity just as long as our 40% chance of rain stayed at bay.
Emory obviously enjoyed his day.
Everett's scrumptions chocolate truffle/chocolate buttercream cake from Creme de la Creme.

Matthew & Everett sneak a taste.
LOVE this picture....LOVE the smiles. :)

deeeee-lish! Thank you aunt Schneider for cleaning up the birthday boy. Man, that was quite a job.

Everett received soooo many wonderful gifts, thank you all for your thoughtfulness.

Everett absolutely LOVED his abacus. Thanks Grampy!

After our birthday celebration, everyone went their seperate ways to enjoy the zoo at their own pace. Ev's pace was to take a break, right smack in the middle of Texas Wild.

OH! and the girl in turquoise....hands off.....she's alllll mine. LOL! Craaazy mama.

The little fellow had a slight resemblence to our baby boy. Big belly, chubby cheeks and long hair at top. :)~
Thanks aunt Schneider & Ori, for being the support and extra hands for Deona and I. We are truly blessed to have you in our lives.
OH! I almost forgot to mention....A big thanks and hug to aunt Schneider for getting the boys their adorable zoo outfits, you save me everytime! :)

After we retuned home, Everett was excited to play with all his new stuff.
We absolutely had an amazing day. Thanks again for making our day memorable and ZOO-PERIFIC!! xoxo

Happy Birthday Everett!

Even though Ev’s “real” birthday celebration is Saturday at the zoo and next Saturday in Wimberley, the four of us + Grammy headed to Chuck E. Cheese’s for some birthday fun on his actual birthday. Everett dressed up in his fancy-shmancy, pearl snap shirt given to him from his Gramma; he looked so handsome. :o)

Everett has been practicing blowing out birthday candles. He barely blows enough air to put out even one.

Do you suppose he liked the cake? :)
Emory was super excited about our party.
Everett LOVED the fake Chuck E. Cheese.
but wasnt so sure about the "real" rodent.
Ev gets a goodnight, birthday kiss from Grammy.
When we got home, Everett discovered an art easel with paintbrushes and smock. He tried really hard to sneak his new brushes into bed with him this evening.
A beautiful day with our beautiful Everett.
