This past weekend we loaded up the boys and car and headed to Wimberley to see my folks for the holiday weekend. We met Tammy, Donato,Chad and my parents at Garcia's Restaruant in San Marcos.
How wonderful to witness Everett's expression and excitement when he realized they too would be meeting us there. My absolute favorite memory was listening to Everett recite all of our names (unprompted) one by one as we sat around the dinner table; it went something like this: "Chah (Chad), Deppie (aunt Tammy), Dodo (uncle Donato), Beebee (Emory), Ma'ma (Deona), Mama' (me), Gampa (Grandpa) and Buckey (Grandma). BUCKEY?!!! BWA-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!
We'll see how long the name sticks; in the meanwhile we'll continue to refer to "Buckey" as Granma and hope the name evolves over time. :o)
