A Proud Mom’s Reflection on Everett’s Eagle Project

Yesterday was an incredibly special day for our family as Everett completed his Eagle Scout project—a beautiful flag retirement fire pit at the Elks Lodge in Galveston. I couldn't be prouder of him!

The weather was absolutely perfect—cool and sunny—setting the stage for what turned out to be a memorable event. Everett poured his heart  into this project, dedicating countless hours to planning and organizing. He wanted to create a meaningful experience not just for himself, but for our community as well.

A fantastic group of volunteers came out to support him—friends, family, and fellow scouts—all ready to lend a hand. It was wonderful to see everyone come together, showcasing the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie that scouting is all about.

Everett led the effort to construct the fire pit from start to finish. He coordinated the logistics, gathered supplies, and made sure everyone knew their roles. Watching him take charge with such confidence was a proud moment for me. He truly has a knack for leadership!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and supported Everett throughout this journey. Your encouragement means the world to us, and it’s a beautiful reminder of the strength of our community.

Congratulations, Everett! I am so proud of you for your hard work and dedication. I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you will achieve in the future!

Marlin in "Finding Nemo Jr.

Emory starred as Marlin in his middle school's production of "Finding Nemo Jr." It was a momentous occasion for our family and friends.

Emory's passion for the arts was evident from the start. He dedicated himself to rehearsals, mastering his lines and bringing Marlin's character to life with authenticity.

Watching Emory on stage was a joy. He portrayed Marlin with confidence and charisma, captivating the audience. Seeing the impact his performance had on younger viewers filled me with pride.

As a parent, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing your child pursue their passions and excel. Emory's journey as Marlin was a testament to the power of imagination and creativity

Here's to Emory and all young actors who dare to dream big.

Everett, Emory and their scout friends braved freezing temperatures during winter break camp. Camp Strake is a wonderful opportunity for troops to camp and scouts to earn merit badges.
