...or was that gas?
During THE game tonight, Deona thought she might be feeling baby moving around, ONLY because she was unsuccessful passing the gas. (sorry if TMI) :)
We're pretty sure it was baby moving around. :)
Guessing we have ourselves a little Dallas Cowboy fan!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITING!
WOOHOO!!!

Fifteen weeks today!
Deona is 15 weeks pregnant today! Other than a mild back ache, Deona is feeling pretty good.
We started out the day having biscuits & gravy with scrambled eggs at Deona's parents this morning.
While there, we helped take up fall decorations and bring down Christmas from the attic.
It's amazing how fast time is passing by, these days. I'm hopeful we can get everything taken care of before baby Emilia or Everett joins us in May.

Over the river and through the woods
Friday morning, Deona and I loaded up the car for a short, weekend trip to see Grandma Cross.
After checking into our hotel, Friday afternoon, Deona and I headed out to Grandmas farm. Always a nice crowd at Grandmas....Aunt Deanna's bunch was there, so was Uncle Charlie, Uncle Tony, cousins Kim, Julie, Justin and kids, along with Don, Debbie, Dondi and Jordan.
We had a great time visiting with everyone...it's always nice to sit and talk in a relaxed setting.
Later, Debbie, Aunt Deanna, Deona, Bryn and myself headed down to the old school house to decorate the place with fall decorations for the Jacobs reunion on Saturday.
Later in the evening, Deona and I headed back to our hotel in Stillwater. It started snowing pretty good when we left the farm, so when we arrived, roof tops and grassy areas were covered with snow. It was quite a challenge to find a clear area for Prince to take care of business.
The news Saturday morning said we had about 3 inches of snow in Stillwater.
Our usual 4 hour trip home took an additional hour, as we found ourselves smackdab in the middle of OU / OSU football game traffic.
We really should plan a better route, next time.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Since moving into our neighborhood (Feb. 2007), Deona and I have been delivering yummy, holiday goodies to our neighbors.
This morning, we delivered fresh pumpkin bread (in 35 degree weather) while Debbie slaved in our kitchen peeling potatoes, for Thanksgiving mashed potatoes.
I'm glad Deona finds our new tradition to be as important as i do, I know our neighbors love and look forward to it.
We ate around noon and enjoyed the usual fixings....Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, rolls, and lots of yummy desserts. We added "Thanksgiving Bingo" to the festivities...i think everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
After bingo, some watched the Dallas Cowboy game, some napped, some ate again, some played pool, some frolicked in the snow(yes, snow), and some left early to be with other family.
Another very special Thanksgiving.
Tomorrow we travel to Oklahoma to visit Deona's grandmother.

14 week doctor's appointment
Another great doctor's appointment this morning.
Deona is progressing well and belly is starting to get pretty round. :) We heard baby's heart beat today (in the 160's per minute).
Deona's actually has lost weight (8 lbs) since getting pregnant, as she has cut out sodas, and is no longer able to eat quite as much.
Guess what's happening to the food that gets left on her plate?
YOU GUESSED IT....Monica's gaining the weight she's losing. OY!!
Our next appointment is December 20th - we'll find out the sex of the baby....cant wait!!!
What's happening about now...
Thyroid gland has matured and your baby begins producing hormones which will be used throughout his or her life. In boys, the prostate gland develops
In girls, the ovaries move from the abdomen to the pelvis
Your little one may have learned to suck his thumb by this point!
Your child's bones are getting harder and stronger by the day!
Your baby's skin is very transparent still
Lanugo (very fine hair) covers the baby's body and will continue to grow until 26 weeks gestational age - Generally this will be shed prior to birth. Its purpose is to help protect baby's skin while in all that water!
Your baby is 3.42 inches (8.7cm) long and weighs about 1.52 ounces (43 grams) - approximately the weight of a letter!
Our baby's nursery now has a crib, changing table, cradle and we bought a cradle for Grammy Jordan's house.

Week 14!!
Yippee! Still waiting for baby to move...I'm waiting patiently. Deona has been unable to eat as much as usual and feels terrible with indigestion after meals. Tums has become her bestfriend. We're preparing for Thanksgiving on Thursday; we're expecting a housefull of family and friends...should be a great day. Our next doctor's appointment is Wednesday...i'll write updates then.

Happy 13th week!
All seems great and on schedule. Still no morning sickness, however Deona still experiences indigestion and being tired. Not surprising. I can’t wait to see "the bump" in the belly (nothing yet) and I'm hopeful she feels a flutter or two in the next week or two. Everything i'm reading says our baby should be about 2.5-3" now....I’m hope and pray all is well. Our next appointment is next Wednesday.

12 week doctor's appointment!
We had our 12 week doctor’s appointment today. Both Deona and I have been sick with allergies/cold, so we were anxious to see our baby via ultrasound. All appeared perfect. We video taped our baby sucking his/her thumb, kicking his/her legs, simply amazing. Besides the cold, Deona has been feeling great...still no visible signs of pregnancy, only a snugger fit around the waistline. Our next doctor’s appointment is in two weeks.
