Lots to update, so i will be brief.
At our 38 week visit, Deona's blood pressure read a little on the high side (134/91) and urine test came back positive for protein. Not a good sign, as these are definite signs of preeclampsia.
(What is Preeclampsia?
Preeclampsia is a disorder that occurs only during pregnancy and the postpartum period and affects both the mother and the unborn baby. Affecting at least 5-8% of all pregnancies, it is a rapidly progressive condition characterized by high blood pressure and the presence of protein in the urine. Swelling, sudden weight gain, headaches and changes in vision are important symptoms; however, some women with rapidly advancing disease report few symptoms. )
Doc also drew blood which would determine whether or not Deona would need to be admitted to the hospital on Tuesday. Tests came back good, so no early hospitalization.
Deona's next doctor's appointment is Thursday @ 3:30.
If all progresses as planned, Everett will be induced this weekend (39 weeks), unless doc says Thursday's the day.
