Everett turned 8 today
and to celebrate we planned a day of fun around the Island!
First stop, Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig Museum and Education Center
The museum features three floors of models and
interactive displays illustrating the story of offshore oil and gas from
seismic technology to exploration and production.
I bet you didn't know Deona and I met while working on this rig, did you? See for yourself....

Grammy, Ev and Em take the
skywalk out onto the drill floor of the rig.
Afterwards, we walked to Joe's Crab Shack for lunch...
And of course a little bit of silliness for the birthday boy.
An ice cream cone from LaKings is exactly what we needed on this hot Saturday.
And finally, a trip to the Train museum.
He's been asking since we moved here to go.
