First "Real" Steps

Everett has been walking by holding on to our fingers to walk for well over a month.
Sometimes holding on with two hands and other times just holding on with one.
But today, Everett decided to stand up and take three steps all on his own! And they were proud steps, not just those one-step lunges he's been doing for a while.
I tried to capture this milestone on video, however I'm not coordinated enough to tend to Ev and monitor the video camera, SO both Deona and I will try to capture some walking footage this evening.
We are so very proud of Everett! It may be days or even weeks before he's really walking around the house but today he took a leap in the right direction.

wow, walking...... how exciting!!!
he looks like he's standing up really well. How long can he stand for without falling???????
My boys can only manage about 1-2 seconds without any support!! Benny stands well for a little while using the coffee table as support. It's quite low, and comes up to his hips/waist area when he's standing he leans against it and waves his hands in the air in excitement - funny boy.

I know what you mean about the growth spurt. Both my boys seem hungrier at the moment. Ethan is a champ with his solids, and eats everything. Ben's a little more fussy. We've finally introduced small chunks of steamed veges. they are doing well with them, but can't eat as much that way, so we're also still giving them lots of puree. We are going back to the allergy clinic next week. We are looking forward to them telling us to try some new foods. We're getting sick of giving them the same 7 things!
At the moment they are only allowed to eat low allergy foods which include: potato, swede, green beans, pears, rice & rice cereal, checken and beef. They eat all of that stuff, but we are looking forward to giving them more!
Hope you're all well
