We had no plans for the 4th of July until my mom called to see if we would be willing to have family over for a get together. She'd supply the food if we'd supply the house and pool. :) Sounded like a great deal to us, so that's what we did. My dad's side of the family and some close friends came over to celebrate Independence Day with a list of all things 'American', including: swimming, hot dogs, watermelon, banana splits, margarita's (ok, maybe not 'U.S. American' but Mexico is 'North American'), swinging and sliding at the park, and lots of conversation. We were completely exhausted by the time it ended, so we opted not to go see fireworks but could hear them from our house off and on. Happy 4th of July! Here are some pics:
