A Day Out With Thomas!

Thomas the Tank Engine is Everett’s latest fav. Everett received a Thomas DVD from Aunt Diann and Uncle Jim for his 1st birthday and another from Aunt Jackie and Courtney for Christmas; but it wasn’t until recently that he had taken an extreme preference to watching these new videos.
Thomas or “T!” (as Everett calls him), was in Grapevine for the annual Day Out With Thomas event at the Grapevine Vintage Railyard this weekend, so the three of us, plus Grampy trekked on over for a day of fun.

There was plenty for Everett and all the children to enjoy: jump house and slide, model trains, an Imagination Station, temporary tattoos, sand box and a petting zoo! Ev and Grampy even had their picture taken with Sir Topham Hatt!

Everett was in “T!” heaven at the gift shop. He made out with several Thomas goodies, PLUS a rolling Thomas backpack! He wasn’t very happy with me for abruptly removing him from Thomas heaven, but we needed to make our 12:20 ($18 pp), 25 minute train ride (pulled by Thomas) through Grapevine. :o) Everett enjoyed hearing all the claps and feet stomping to all the familar Thomas songs.

Imagination Station:

The picture below makes me laugh. Everett's looking at the guy like he's one crazy fella. :)

Getting our train tickets punched from the train conductor.

Everett sitting on Grampy's shoulders, to get a better look at all the model trains. Very cool.

Giant Sand Box with gazillions of children:

A wonderful day with Thomas and friends; we look forward to this event again next year.

Great Pictures. He looks so excited. Cute in Overalls!

I guess you finally know the answer to the question how many kids can you get into one sandbox. Wow.
