CAT Scan

 6 a.m. @ Cooks Children's Medical Center
 Weight 14.7 kg / 32.3 pounds
Height 99 cm / 39"
Ev getting his blood pressure taken.
After running around and playing with all the new toys in our room Everett decided he might be a little tired.   He timed a nap just right as I walked to the CT room with a napping baby on my shoulder.  Perfection.  The anestesiologist claimed he has about two "stealth" patients each year and it makes his job extremely easy.  :-)  Everett received a gas mask without ever waking up.  Because his opthomologist requested a contrast (dye) scan  Everett also received an I.V. which was put in his hand after I returned to the waiting room.
Ev in his first hospital gown.
Deona and I waited for approximately 30 minutes in the waiting room.  Waiting was difficult; we were especially concerned he would wake up without one of us there with him.   Sadly, our fear turned into reality; seeing and hearing his cries as we walked in, broke our hearts.  He was fine once he saw we were with him.
After a cup of juice, his I.V. was removed and we were clear to go home.
9:25 a.m. Home Bound. Finally.
Thanks to all the wonderful staff and volunteers that served us today.
We are very appreciative for your exceptional care.
We are suppose to hear scan results in 2-3 days.  We are hopeful and praying for good, healthy report.  Stay tuned.  Many thanks and hugs for your continued prayers.
