This morning we headed to Irving for our Family Nature Club outing. The weather in Irving was not only cold but super windy making our outing less than fun for the kids. After an hour, we called it a day and all headed for home.
Some how the four of us ended up in Fort Worth (mmmm Joe T' Garcias for brunch) and afterwards went on a search for choo-choo trains; Everett's favorite activity. Fort Worth has lots and lots of trains. Our first stop was Amtrak in Fort Worth; then later spotted the motherload...the railyard off of Vickery.
Everett recognized our route was near the Fort Worth Zoo, so we made a quick trip in, JUST to ride the Yellow Rose Express.
While there, Everett received his very own "Honorary Yellow Rose Conductor" certificate. VERY cool!
Everett is happiest when we ride trains.
Emory thinks riding the train is fun, but prefers pulling Mommy's earrings off her lobes. OUCH!
Since we were already at the zoo, Everett HAD to ride the carousel,
and maybe play in the PlayBarn. OH and visit the petting zoo too.
And we couldn't forget the flamingos on the way out. :)
Hooray for Hodge Podge Days, they're the best!

You need to take him to see the antique trains that are in fronbt of the BNSF railroad offices. He would love to see them as well. Precious pictures. Let me know if you get these comments, I am on my laptop and not my computer. Aunt Jackie
