All-time record snowfall for Dallas-Fort Worth

The extreme snowfall of February 11-12, 2010 goes down as THE snowiest 24-hour period in the history DFW weather records, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). An amazing 12.5" was measured, 11.2" of which fell on the 11th. So glad they canceled school on Friday, so Deona could stay home and play with us.

Pictures from Thursday:

Everett was soo excited to see so much snow!

It snowed, and it snowed and it snowwwwwed.

Getting "suited up" for the snow. We dressed Ev in 3 layers, plus 2 pairs of socks with ziploc bags over his socks, sneakers, jacket, hat and gloves. :)
On our way to play in the snow at Grammy's apartment.

Mom and Everett build a snowman on Grammy's shrubs:

Trees were so covered in snow that many of their branches and limbs broke off from the weight.

Happy boy. On our way back home.
Everyone had a super fun time in the snow. Definitely a highlight and super memory for this new place we call home.
