(Quietly) Having Fun!

I am the first to admit that we have a lot of plastic toys in our house, and some of them require batteries. Most of those that require batteries have not been purchased by us. What I like about most of the toys we have, whether they are plastic or wooden is that they encourage creative, and imaginative play.

In May of last year we purchased a stackable wood train set as a centerpiece for Everett's "Train-themed", birthday party. He received a Melissa & Doug train (similar yet more suitable for smaller hands) from the Hirsch's, also for his birthday.
There are so many reasons why I like these type of trains, but what I really like most is the ability to play without overstimulation from lights and noise AND the fact that Everett thinks they are alot of fun!
Though it may not look like Everett's having fun, he's having a blast!
Deona tries getting his attention, so I can get a picture...

He obviously takes playtime VERY seriously.
Concentrating and focussed....
adding a few modifications....
then starts all over again.
Lucky for us, this "do-over" works in our favor.
Thank you Dick and Sylvia for a fabulous gift, Everett's (still) having so much fun!
