Music to Our Ears

I've added {optional} music to our blog.  I debated whether or not to include background music, even though I thoroughly enjoy listening to many of the blogs I frequent.  It occured to me, however, that constant music might be a distraction as we sometimes post videos of our boys. A compromise was made so we'll be adding music to posts every so often; take a listen if you'd like.

Our first entry was added to Emory's "7 month birthday" post.  "Beautiful Child", by Sara Groves the very talented Christian singer and songwriter.   I heard this song for the very first time the same month Emory was born. I bawl. every. time.
Beautiful Child, Sara Groves

beautiful child right from the moment you were born
you overtook my heart my world
my beautiful child
tender and sweet both in your crying and your sleep
you radiate a sense of hope
you're beautiful

And I have seen the most amazing sights
in my travels on the earth
misty seas and amber harbor lights
and other things of matchless worth
but next to you all of the beauty seems so plain
you would think I'd never seen a beautiful thing

And I have seen the most amazing sights
in my travels on the earth
seven sacred pools on starry nights
and other things of matchless worth
but next to you all of the beauty seems so plain
you would think i'd never seen a beautiful thing

I have seen the most amazing sights
in my travels on the earth
moonlight sleeping on the canyon heights
and other things of matchless worth
but next to you all of the beauty seems so plain
you would think i'd never seen a beautiful thing
