Our Terrific Day at the Dallas Zoo

We (the four of us plus Ori, Dina, the girls and Grampy) visited the Dallas Zoo today and WOW what a great time!   Visiting the Dallas Zoo was a first for us, and to be honest we anticipated nothing more than a mediocre zoo as we had previously heard/read poor reviews. Lies, all lies I tell you.  The Dallas Zoo is AWESOME!
Giant giraffe statue at the entrance.
We met everyone at the entrance, by the carousel.  WOW. Breathtaking. The best part?  This massive structure is under a HUGE, shaded pavillion with benches around the perimeter,  for everyone!

Everett and Grampy ride a camel for the very first time.

The beautiful mosaic at the entrance to the Reptile House.
The Children's area at the zoo was absolutely fantastic; in fact though reluctant to admit (because I absolutely love FWZoo) we felt this area far exceeded the petting zoo and playbarn area at the Fort Worth Zoo ten fold.
Everett loved taking off his socks and shoes and getting to walk through the water and climb on the big rocks.
The Koi fish were huge!  Zoe and Ev had lots of fun feeding them.
Ava & Zoe posing with the horse they rode.
We rode the monorail around the Wilds of Africa.  SOOO COOL!
All 4 kiddos enjoyed time with Grampy and Grampy ate it up. :) Precious girls.
Looks like we wore Grampy out. :)
Well we just renewed our FW Zoo membership last week.  hmmmph.
To be fair, we'll just plan on a Dallas Zoo membership next year.
A terrific day at the Zoo.
